Aaron moved to Utah in 2021 where he retired from Hill AF Base in Provo while working in IT. In between work and school, he's an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed snowboarding, car camping, and hiking.
In March, 2023 he suffered an accident mountain biking in Eagle Canyon breaking his neck. After surgery and a week in the ICU, he spent 8 weeks at Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital, a premier facility in Salt Lake, before returning to his home for extended outpatient treatment.
Approaching a year since the injury, Aaron continues to make great progress in upper body mobility, core strength, and active muscle trace in his legs - currently, he's working towards driving the adaptive van, manual assist chair, and other measures towards personal independence.
Are you great with people, passionate about making a difference, and looking to put your health or people skills to work? Our family is building a team of caregivers, assistants, and coaches empowering Aaron towards greater independence.
